Abstracts are invited to be submitted online at www.ascia2021.com once registration opens.

  • ASCIA 2021 Conference Posters – to be displayed from Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd September 2021 on electronic poster boards.
  • ASCIA 2021 Conference Clinical Grand Rounds (CGR) oral presentations – for advanced trainees only.
  • CFAR Symposium short oral “hot publication” presentations - for food allergy research recently published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Acceptance of abstracts will be confirmed in early August 2021. Poster and CGR abstracts will be published online in a journal which can be accessed on the ASCIA website by the end of September 2021.

To improve the experience of ASCIA 2021 Conference delegates, ASCIA will be providing access to an ASCIA 2021 Conference App. The ASCIA 2021 Conference App will enable delegates to:

  • Ask questions and participate in polling using your mobile device during interactive sessions.
  • Search for abstract, posters and speaker biographies.
  • Access updates to the conference program.
  • Provide feedback on each session.
  • Access a venue map.

Delegates will receive an email invitation with instructions of how to connect to the App before the ASCIA 2021 Conference. Prior download is encouraged to ensure convenient access to all the information you may need for the conference.

Attendance Certificates

A certificate of attendance is provided to each delegate and is included in the registration envelope, together with a receipt for the registration payment.

Awards and Travel Grants

Awards of $1,000 each for selected posters and CGR case presentations will be presented at the ASCIA 2021 Conference closing function. After the conference these awards are listed on the ASCIA website:


A limited number of travel grants are awarded (during the conference) to delegates (advanced trainees, dietitians, nurses, students) who reside outside of the region and have submitted an abstract. To apply for these grants delegates need to select the appropriate box when they register.

Breakfast Sessions

The following breakfast sessions will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre. These sessions include some catering, so delegates need to rsvp for these sessions when they register for the ASCIA 2021 Conference.

In the event of industrial disruption, lockdown or a natural disaster the meeting organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred by delegates. The program is correct at the time of printing. However, the organisers reserve the right to alter the program if necessary.

Dress Code

The dress code is smart casual throughout the conference and cocktail for the Gala Dinner.


The exhibition for the ASCIA 2021 Conference will run for 3 days, from Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd September 2021. All lunches and tea breaks will be served in the exhibition area. Delegates are encouraged to visit the ASCIA 2021 exhibition stands throughout the conference. Any inquiries about sponsorship or exhibiting should be emailed to education@allergy.org.au
